Islington Park, Salford
A new playground for the local community in Salford is now complete and open.
The centrepiece is a custom 8 tower Lamba Play Unit configuration, with a tunnel slide, trough slide, rope bridges and a fireman's pole. Deck heights vary throughout to keep things interesting and give children plenty of reasons to keep exploring. Alongside the main structure, we installed a triple bay nest swing with inclusive seating to make sure more children can get involved.

New design. Out of the workshop.
Our Giant Spinning Disc has a new look, here is a look at the latest one to come out of our Stockport workshop.
The new design pairs a timber board deck with laser cut perforated stainless steel detailing. The two materials sit well together, tactile in different ways, and the result feels considered. It looks good and it feels good to use.

Built by Nature: why designers specify Robinia
Our Built by Nature campaign continued in May with a new blog post looking at why landscape architects and playground designers keep coming back to Robinia.
Beyond the material properties, there is something worth exploring around how it shapes behaviour, ages well and gives designers more freedom with layouts. The irregularity in the timber is not something to work around. It tends to give a space exactly the quality a natural materials brief is reaching for.

GM Business Growth Hub video
Back in April we mentioned that Matt, our Product Manager, had been filmed at Mayfield Play Yard by the GM Business Growth Hub. The video is now live.
He talks about the design and build of the landmark Mayfield playground, and about how the Growth Hub has supported us as we develop how we work, sharpen our sales and marketing approach, and grow our ambitions internationally.
Worth a watch!
Until next time!
