Our Story

Where It All Began
In 1938, Greeco Ltd set the stage as one of the first companies to manufacture sports and playground equipment in the UK. From a workshop on Heaton Lane, Stockport, Greeco started building the foundations of play that would span generations.
A New Chapter
The company was taken over by Massey & Harris Contractors Ltd, marking the start of a new era. This change brought fresh momentum and laid the groundwork for the growth that would follow.
A Subtle Shift
With a move to Cook Street, Stockport, our name evolved into Massey & Harris (Engineering) Ltd. This was also when Keith Pilgrim took the reins as Managing Director, steering us forward with energy and vision.
Growing Stronger
Our Director, David Pilgrim joined the company as Business Manager in 2003. The workshop then relocated to our current home; The Hollygate. Our shop floor square footage quadrupled with this move and allowed us to bring more manufacturing processes in house.
Expanding Horizons
With continued growth and by diversifying our product range, we acquired our workshop on Ford Street to act as our dedicated Robinia workshop and to act as additional storage for our finished product.
Looking to the future
We now deliver thousands of pieces of play equipment every year to a wide range of clients and customers and have a wide range of products and projects under our belt. We've also bagged a few awards, a testament to our product and design capabilities.
