A bold fusion of timber, steel, and adventure
We designed, manufactured, and installed a distinctive Play Cube for Trafford Council’s quayside park near the Imperial War Museum and MediaCity. Crafted from 200mm square oak beams tilted at 60 degrees, the structure features a steep stainless steel slide and a single-piece internal net maze, meeting the brief’s challenge for both play and aesthetic. Fabricated entirely in the UK, the Play Cube balances natural materials with industrial character, creating a unique focal point that invites adventurous play while reflecting the area’s heritage.
