July Highlights

A month of work experience students, a look back at our favourite slides, and steady progress in timber and steel. Plus a Constructionline Gold announcement.

Constructionline Gold

We're proud to share that we've achieved Constructionline Gold accreditation.

It reflects the standards behind our work, from processes through to people. It's what our partners rely on, project after project.

Gold looks good on us.

Work experience students

We welcomed three work experience students into M&H HQ throughout July.

They worked through a full design brief from start to finish. Sketches, material choices, scheme layouts, even getting hands on in the metal workshop.

They then built physical scale models of their final play concepts, cutting and shaping the structures by hand.

It's always great to see fresh ideas coming through the workshop, and an important reminder of how essential prototyping and scale mock ups are to the design process, even the no-frills card and dowel ones.

If you'd like to discuss work experience opportunities, get in touch!

Big ideas in paper, card and dowel.

A look back at our favourite slides

We took a moment to look back at some of our favourite slide projects.

We've built every shape of slide imaginable, from giant spiralling ones to small, intricate themed ones and wide, windowed family slides. You imagine it, we can probably build it!

Every slide starts life as flat stainless steel on our workshop floor, and ends up somewhere kids choose to go back to, again and again. That's the part that never gets old.

From trough slides to full spirals, every project gets the same care in our workshop.

Explore our range of standard slides here.

If you have a space that needs a custom slide, give us a call!

Stairs are overrated

In the workshop

July was also a steady month on the workshop floor.

Our timber and steel teams kept to their usual rhythm. Cutting, welding and finishing.

We've also carried on working through the early design stages for a handful of new projects. Some are still sketches. Others are a little further along. Either way, we can't wait to share more.

More Robinia logs with serious main character energy.

Until next time!
