IO House Slides, London

At the heart of the award-winning IO House in North London, designed by KSR Architects, are two bespoke spiralling stainless steel tunnel slides. Accessed via a motion-activated iris portal, the slides provide a thrilling descent from the main living areas to the subterranean leisure level. The slides are integrated with smart technology, triggering light and sound effects as they are used, embodying the home's theme. The installation posed unique challenges due to the confined space and the need to accommodate integrated housing for speakers and lighting. Despite these complexities, the slides were seamlessly incorporated, adding a dynamic and playful element that enhances the home's innovative design.
