Whilst adventure and educational playgrounds have moved on in the past 20 years, sports playgrounds have been left behind. A traditional ‘MUGA or Multi-Use Games Area’ tends to be a small intimidating 5-a-side cage with two basketball nets at either end, hardly offering the variety the name suggests. For people to get the most out of these spaces, match format sport is needed with 6+ people. This is extremely difficult to organise often leaving the space under utilised. The lack of variety means people spend less time in these spaces too.
Our brand is Numuga, the New MUGA. A space where you can play 10+ sports in the same space at the same time. No cages, just open and approachable spaces to play. We appeal to all people, regardless of age or ability. We create zones that are fun and inviting for beginners, yet hone the skills of experienced players. Sporting beginners and experienced athletes have never been able utilise the same space ever before (and get something out of it). Our modular system allows us to fit into any size or shape of space too, whilst adhering to social guideline rules if needed.
A gateway for beginners & a practice area for experienced players. Numuga allows for a more freestyle type of play, where people can learn the basics of sport without necessarily taking part in match format. Learning how to pass, control, catch, throw and aim are key skills that can be transferred to multiple sports. Yet, aspiring players can continually practice on their own or in 2s, 3s or 4s. Ball sports don’t tend to be played by individuals on their own. Now they can, being constantly engaged whilst exercising.
