Massey and Harris are delighted to welcome Calum to our Design Team.

Due to the continued success of our busy design team we recently recruited Calum, who studied BA (Hons) Product Design at the University of Huddersfield, graduating with a first.

Calum was recently selected to exhibit his final major project at New Designers 2019 held at the Business Design Centre, London which showcases top new talent from UK design schools. 

Calum presented his design solution for a shower usable by people with visual impairment:

“My solution incorporated high contrast elements into the design to aid visual location. Most visually impaired people still have some vision and by increasing the contrast between objects it makes them easier to identify. The design also utilised haptic and audible feedback to further aid the user and the overall aesthetic aimed to reduce stigma usually associated with products for people with a disability”

Calum is already working hard and contributing high quality, innovative design that the Massey and Harris team pride themselves on producing.
