Timber Barrel Roundabout - Massey and Harris

The Challenge

We were tasked by the client to come up with a bespoke product that would sit comfortably within their natural surroundings. The existing environment required a product that was sympathetic in terms of it’s materials and we were asked to come up with something to suit.

The client was after a spinning piece of equipment, but something that was accessible for all.

The Result

After sketching out and exploring the initial ideas, we came up with the initial ideal of a spinning timber barrel. The client was very impressed by the originality of the design, and that fact that there requirement for it being accessible for all was also met. We mocked up some initial jigs, and also created some templates to help us in the manufacture. We were pleased to complete the design and manufacture ahead of schedule and we installed the timber barrel roundabout on site with no issues.
