Safagrass Mats
Black rubber mesh mats that can be installed onto existing turf to provide surfacing that complies with BS EN 1177 for fall heights up to 3.0m. Mats should be installed onto either newly laid turf or good quality existing turf that is reasonably flat. Once the grass has had a chance to establish it can then be mown as usual. Site preparation and correct installation of the mats are key to their success as a surfacing option.
Bark and Sand
High quality play bark and nuggets are available and suitable for most equipment and particularly popular on natural play area sites. Silica play sand is another alternative and offers plenty of play value alongside Massey and Harris diggers, sand tables and sand trains. Loose fill sites comply with BS EN 1177.
Wetpour Rubber Surfacing
Wetpour rubber is available in black and a number of standard colours. Rubber depth is calculated according to the fall height of the equipment so as to conform to BS EN 1177. Graphics can be included in the designs and the surface gives a hard wearing surface that requires very little maintenance.
Rubber Tiles
Rubber tiles are offered as a similar, but alternative option to wet-pour rubber.
