Stainless Steel Spiral Slide is a big hit in the Scottish Borders
A new spiral slide has been installed at Volunteer Park in Hawick. The Scottish Borders Council’s Parks department recently decided to replace their old slide, and our Scottish partner KC Leisure won the contract.
Keith Craig, MD of KC Leisure worked closely with the Council to ensure a smooth installation was achieved on time and that the stainless steel slide, manufactured by Massey & Harris, is now a big attraction for all the visitors to the playground.
Keith states, “When we heard about the requirement then we knew the Massey and Harris 3.5m stainless steel spiral slide would fit the bill exactly. The robust yet sleek design allows children to climb to the top the tower and then slide down around the steel structure.
Jim Hogg, Parks Development Officer explained,“It became apparent that the old unit had had its day, so we contacted East Lothian based KC Leisure, to replace it with a modern replica. The installation and surfacing work is now complete and I trust the new slide will give our local youngsters as much pleasure as the old one.”
Councillor Len Wyse, executive member for environmental services added “I am pleased to see local children being encouraged to enjoy the outdoors and be active.”
